Tim Chamberlin, headteacher, and Selina Morgan, academy business manager, launch the Chase Terrace Technology College lottery.

The lottery has been launched at Chase Terrace Technology College and is open to everyone living in the area.

People taking part will be in with the chance of winning a cash prize every week as well as being entered into a separate draw to win £25,000 every week.

The school has partnered with ‘Your School Lottery’ to launch the new initiative and is one of over 400 schools already benefiting from this throughout the UK. The first draw will take place on Saturday, March 30, and then on subsequent Saturdays throughout the year.

Tim Chamberlin, headteacher of the school, said: “I am really excited about this new fundraising initiative which we officially launched on fourth February 2019. Not only does it give participants the chance to win cash prizes, it also gives money back to the school which we will add to our school improvement fund to ultimately benefit our students and the wider community.”

The lottery is open to parents and carers, grandparents, staff, family, friends, local businesses and local community residents who wish to support the school. The more people that take part, the bigger the prizes and the more money raised for Chase Terrace Technology College.

Academy business manager Selina Morgan said: “A lottery ticket costs just £1 per week and 40 per cent of all ticket sales are donated back to Chase Terrace Technology College. It's quick and easy to take part by visiting our website and signing up on line. We are really hoping the local community will support us in this brand new initiative."
