Firefighters tackle stable blaze in Staffordshire

Emergency services were called in the early hours of this morning after a fire broke out in a stable.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at around 12.50pm on Saturday to the blaze in Brownhills.

Fire engines from Cannock and Penkridge fire stations were in attendance.

No animals were inside the stable block, which is 10 metres by five metres in size.

Firefighters used two hose jets to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
