Paramedics were called to Carters Green Island at 12.30pm today after the lorry rolled onto its side.

The driver was assessed but decided not to go to hospital.

Murray MacGregor, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to reports of a lorry having rolled over at the junction of the Albion Roundabout and Dudley Street in West Bromwich at just before 12.30pm today.

"An ambulance that already had a patient on board came across the incident and stopped to assist until a further ambulance and a paramedic officer arrived.

"The lorry driver had been able to extricate from the cab with assistance from a member of the public. The driver was assessed but had minor injuries and chose not to go to hospital for further assessment."
