Man taken to hospital after West Bromwich crash

A man was taken to hospital after a two car crash in West Bromwich.

The man, who was the driver of one vehicle, was taken to hospital Sandwell General Hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.

The accident took place on Dudley Street at 1.17pm on Tuesday.

A photograph taken at the scene showed the road blocked off by police with two ambulances surrounding a grey vehicle.

A sign with a message saying "police accident" was left on the road.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car-collision on Dudley Street at 1.17pm.

"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was the driver of one of the cars.

"He was assisted out of his vehicle and treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Sandwell Hospital for further assessment."
