Cyclist injured in collision at busy roundabout in West Bromwich

A cyclist suffered serious injuries after colliding with a car on a busy West Bromwich roundabout.

The crash happened at around 5.50am on Thursday on the A41, near Carters Green.

A man, aged in his 50s, was injured in the collision, say West Midlands Ambulance Service.

He was taken to Sandwell Hospital for further treatment, a spokesman said.

The route was blocked at the Albion island between Black Country New Road and The Expressway in the aftermath.
