Officers are now hoping to trace the owner of the items following their discovery.

The collector items were found after police made two arrests in West Bromwich over the weekend.

The pair, aged 17 and 31, were arrested from a car on Richmond Street at around 4am on Sunday after it failed to stop for police.

Two other occupants in the car ran off and dropped a JD bag containing the coins and medals.

The two men arrested on suspicion of burglary remain in police custody while officers are continuing to hunt for the other two suspects who ran off.

Anyone with any information or who recognises the items is asked to contact West Midlands Police via Live Chat at between 8am to midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log number 452 14/4.
