Taxi driver attacked and robbed by three men in West Bromwich

A taxi driver was punched in the head and robbed in an attack by three men in West Bromwich.

Police issued images in a bid to trace those behind the robbery

Police are appealing for information after the shocking incident took place in Guns Lane.

During the early hours of the morning a Toyota Prius taxi was parked up when a black car pulled in front of it and three men got out.

One man opened the passenger door of the taxi and punched the driver in the head before demanding his keys.

The driver got out the car when the offenders demanded more money from him, before they fled in the stolen taxi.

It happened on November 22 shortly before 3am but police issued the appeal today.
