Driver arrested after police chase ends in three-car crash

A police chase in West Bromwich led to a three-car smash - with one driver rushed to hospital with neck injuries.

Emergency services were at the scene of Carters Green on Saturday just after 1pm following the incident.

A 25-year-old man has since been charged with driving dangerously and causing injury by dangerous driving.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court tomorrow.

Three cars had crashed on the ring road, and one driver needed to be pulled free by firefighters.

The driver was then taken to hospital by paramedics to be treated for leg and neck injuries.

A total of 10 firefighters from West Bromwich and Tipton attended the incident, while West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also there.

West Bromwich Fire sent a message on social media sharing these pictures of the crash, and said: "Crews having a busy day so far, just returned from this RTC. Wishing all involved a speedy recovery."

Sandeep Singh, aged 25, of Charter Road, Tipton, has been charged with driving dangerously, using a motor vehicle without insurance, driving while disqualified and causing injury by dangerous driving.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Dudley Magistrates Court on Monday.
