Smoke pours above West Bromwich during demolition site fire
Smoke was billowing over West Bromwich today when a large pile of rubbish caught fire at a demolition site.
Firefighters were called to Thomas Street, in West Bromwich, at 12.02pm.
Smoke could be seen pouring into the sky around the town.
Two fire crews, one from West Bromwich and one from Handsworth, attended the scene.
They used one hose reel jet to tackle the flames and spread the rubbish out using gravel.
