A Christian charity is asking for public help with donations for new vans for its work.

Homeschool Social Enterprise operates an independent school in Wednesbury and a food bank through its Active Christians Ministry, as well as a homeless outreach for supporting rough sleepers.

It has worked during the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown to help a large number of people who have required use of the foodbank and is looking to increase its service.

The group have started a Go Fund Me page to ask for public support with raising £120,000 to buy three vehicles.

The vehicles would be used for the transportation of food, including pick up and delivering of parcels, and to help volunteers get around during the pandemic.

Following the end of lockdown, the charity aims to use the vehicles for the homeless outreach and to transport children who access the Homeschool education services.
