South Staffs Water is busy replacing the main

The water main in Park Lane West burst at the beginning of February, the second time in four months, sparking a major clear-up operation.

People living nearby were turfed out of their homes due to flooding, schools were closed, and roads were shut off.

South Staffs Water started replacing the water main last month, and workers are now on track to finish.

A spokesman said: "We are on track to complete the 300m main replacement on Park Lane West and will be starting work at the Manor Road junction shortly.

"We will then start to connect the new main into our existing network."
