Perfect place to pick best Tipton park picture

Residents are being asked to vote in a photo competition celebrating Tipton's parks and green spaces.

Entries for the Sandwell Council competition were submitted over the summer and now a shortlist of seven photographs have gone on display.

People in the borough can now visit any of the three Tipton libraries – Glebefields, Great Bridge and Tipton – to view the submissions and vote.

The winner will receive a £25 Asda voucher and the winning photo entry will be published in the winter edition of the Sandwell Herald and on Discover Sandwell.

Councillor Ann Jarvis, Tipton town chairman, said: "We wanted this competition to celebrate Tipton’s parks and green spaces, and that’s exactly what it’s doing.

“These photographs show the wonderful natural environment we have on our doorstep, which people don’t always realise.

Voting closes at 5pm on Friday, October 26.
