Man killed after flat fire in Tipton
A man has died in a flat fire in Tipton.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at the home in Jay's Avenue, in Dudley Port.
A man, aged in his 50s, was killed.
His death is being treated as unexplained at this stage say West Midlands Police.
Police were called to the scene at around 6.50am today.
Fire crews remain at the scene. Firefighters from Tipton and West Bromwich attended the blaze.
They managed to contain the fire to stop the spread to neighbouring homes.
An investigation is under way into the cause.
