The water main in Bearwood Road, in Smethwick, burst at around 2pm today.

A spokesman for South Staffs Water confirmed that some customers are experiencing low water pressure or have no water at all.

Engineers are now at the scene working to fix the issue and South Staffs Water have apologised to residents for the inconvenience.

A South Staffs Water spokesman: "Some customers may be experiencing low pressure or no water. In the meantime South Staffs Water is checking on any vulnerable customers in the area to ensure they have temporary water supplies.

"The emergency work may affect traffic as the rush hour starts so motorists may wish to avoid the area and allow extra time for their journey."

"We are working to fix the burst as quickly as possible and would like to thank residents, businesses and motorists for their patience, while we get it fixed.”
