Motorcyclist dies after crash in Rowley Regis

A motorcyclist has died after crashing into a wall in Rowley Regis.

The 28-year-old woman suffered very serious injuries after the crash in Hawes Lane at around 11.40pm yesterday, and was taken to the major trauma centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where she died shortly after arrival.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found a woman who had suffered very serious injuries.

“Ambulance staff provided advanced care at the scene before she was taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, but sadly was confirmed dead shortly after arrival.”

Her family is currently being supported by specialist officers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the serious collision investigation unit on 101, quoting log number 25 15/3.
