Man rescued from canal in Oldbury
A man has been rescued from a canal in Oldbury.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the Titford Canal at Tat Bank Road at around 10.13pm yesterday.
Fire crews from Oldbury, Woodgate Valley and Wednesbury helped rescue the man from the water, before paramedics treated him and took him to Sandwell Hospital.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a patient in the water, near to Tat Bank Road, at 10.13pm last night.
"One ambulance, a senior paramedic, a paramedic officer and our Hazardous Area Response Team attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was still in the water.
"Ambulance staff worked with the fire service to rescue the man.
"He was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Sandwell Hospital."
