Teenager taken to hospital after three-car crash in Great Barr

A teenager has been injured after a three-car crash in Great Barr.

The youngster, who was a driver of one of the cars, was taken to hospital after the collision on Queslett Road this morning.

Paramedics were called to the busy route that is a major road into Great Barr.

Commuters in the area were caught in tailbacks after the incident, which happened at around 9.40am.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.43am to reports of a three-car RTC at the junction of Whitecrest and Queslett Road in Great Barr. One ambulance attended the scene.

"We treated one patient, a male in his late teens, who was the driver of one of the cars.

"He was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being transported to Sandwell Hospital for further assessment."
