Man falls from bridge near Cradley Heath Railway Station

Trains were delayed at Cradley Heath station after reports of a man falling from a road bridge.

Emergency services arrived at the station, off Forge Lane, shortly before 4pm on Sunday.

Residents reported seeing a heavy presence of police and ambulances at the scene.

British Transport Police said a man had fallen from a nearby road bridge and he is now being treated in hospital for his injuries.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Officers attended Maypole Hill, In Cradley Heath, following a report of a body been seen lineside.

"The incident was reported to police at 3:41pm.

"Officers attended the scene along with paramedics where a male was found near to the lines.

"Paramedics treated the man at scene and he was later transported to hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries."

National Rail said services between Birmingham Snow Hill and Kidderminster may be cancelled or delayed until the end of Sunday, due to the incident.
