Wednesbury man in court over death of 39-year-old pedestrian in West Bromwich

A man has appeared in court over the death of a pedestrian.

Jake Nelson, 29, of Hales Road in Wednesbury, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

He did not provide a plea when he appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court today.

The charge is connection to the death of Neil Perry, aged 39.

Mr Perry died after he was hit by a car in New Street, Hill Top, West Bromwich, on February 5.

Nelson will next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on December 8.

An inquest was opened into Mr Perry's death in March.
