Stuart Towns, aged 34, died following an incident at Alutrade in Tat Bank Road.

West Midlands Police said the man's death was not thought to be suspicious and that an investigation had been launched by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

West Midlands Police spokeswoman Deb Edmonds said: "We are working with the HSE following the death of a man at an industrial facility in Tat Bank Road."

Andrew Powell, a director at Alutrade, said: "We had an incident on Monday, July 24 which led to a fatality.

"Alutrade takes the safety and wellbeing of its employees very seriously and is co-operating fully with the police and the Health and Safety Executive.
