West Midlands Fire Service was called at 10.56am on August 30 to reports of a fire at a Ocean Boat chip shop on Camp Hill.

A fire engine from Brierley Hill and another from Stourbridge attended the scene.

A total of 13 fire fighters arrived to battle the blaze. It is believed to have started accidentally.

Fire crews remained at the scene to dampen down the building, and the fire was extinguished by 1pm the same afternoon.

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire said at the time: "Our crews have worked with Stourbridge Fire this morning in extinguishing a fire at a chip shop in Wordsley. Fast response and actions limited damage to the property but the shop will be closed for a number of days."
