"That was one of the first racing cycles to be introduced to the British market," he says.

"I remember seeing one of those, the churchwarden at All Saints' Church, I think his name was Edgar Perks, he used to cycle to church on one. I remember seeing him leave it outside," adds Dan, who lives near Claverley.

The 1928 bike catalogue is one of Dan's most prized possessions, a reminder of the role his family business played in British cycle history
