Suspected stolen car crashes into ASDA supermarket in Sedgley

Two men were detained and taken to hospital after a suspected stolen car crashed into a Black Country supermarket.

Emergency services were called to the Sedgley branch of ASDA some time between 2am and 3am on Saturday.

Witnesses saw the car with its front having made contact with the supermarket building, with the engine compartment badly damaged.

A statement from West Midlands Police's Craig Hughes said: "A suspected stolen vehicle was involved in a collision in High Holborn, Sedgley, around 2.15am today.

"Two men were detained and taken to hospital for assessment."
