Pupil injured in 'disorder' outside High Arcal School

A pupil was attacked and left with minor injuries outside a school this morning.

Police were called to High Arcal School, in High Arcal Drive in Sedgley, at 8.50am.

Headteacher Jo Bull said: “There was an incident off school grounds this morning where one of our pupils was attacked.

"We carried out our standard safety procedures and informed police immediately.

"The pupil was left with minor injuries and the matter is now in the hands of the police.”

West Midlands Police spokesman Kate Baker said: "Officers were called to reports of a disorder at High Arcal School in High Arcal Drive, Sedgley at around 8:50am this morning.

"Officers are currently at the school speaking to pupils and teachers to establish what happened.

"Local officers will be patrolling the area later this afternoon to provide reassurance."
