Driver taken to hospital after car overturns in Halesowen

A driver was taken to hospital after her car overturned.

The woman managed to get out of the car after it overturned on Stourbridge Road, Halesowen, just after 8.30am today.

She was taken to Russells Hall Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 8.38am to reports of an overturned car on Stourbridge Road. One ambulance attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the driver of the car.

"She had managed to get herself out of the vehicle and was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment."
