Teenager attacked in broad daylight in Halesowen street

A teenager suffered injuries to his face after a street attack in Halesowen.

The 17-year-old boy was in Furnace Lane when he was attacked on Monday afternoon.

West Midlands Police has now launched an investigation into the assault and is appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: "Police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was assaulted in Furnace Lane, Halesowen, by an unknown male at around 1.45pm on December 2.

"He suffered facial injuries and anyone with information is asked to contact police."

Any witnesses to the assault are asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 20DY/284872X/19.

Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
