STAFF at an insurance broker saddled themselves up and spent four days on a charity cycle challenge in order to help launch their partnership with a mental health and wellbeing charity.

Rider Tom Evans pictured with Amy Rushton, HR Director at MyPolicy and fellow workers as the company hold a chariry bike ride from Haleowen to Paris in aid of The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.

A total of 423 miles were covered on the static bike by the lycra-clad charity heroes at MyPolicy in Halesowen , the equivalent of cycling from the Bull Ring in Birmingham to the Eiffel Tower to raise funds for The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.

The young drivers’ insurance intermediary selected the charity after staff wanted to put the spotlight on mental ill health. A series of fundraising events have been planned throughout the year alongside the charity who have been impressed with the way the staff have jumped on board.

MyPolicy HR Director, Amy Rushton, said: “This year our dedicated staff are thrilled to raise money for Kaleidoscope. We are simultaneously promoting wellbeing at work, having fun and tackling the stigma attached to mental health illness.

“It’s an incredible charity who offer a range of outstanding initiatives and services planned to help those in need, and supporting our local communities is so important to everyone here at MyPolicy.”

MyPolicy’s customer service team focuses on delivering excellence in customer support and is proud to have achieved a rating of nearly nine on Trustpilot, based on over 3,700 verified customer reviews.

Funds raised and donated will help the West Bromwich-based charity to continue to offer its wide range of health and wellbeing focused services to more than 9,000 people per year, as well as playing a big part in its bid to launch a National Suicide Textline Prevention Service, which will keep individuals who are experiencing suicidal thoughts safe from harm.

The Kaleidoscope Plus Group Corporate Fundraising and Campaign Manager, Greg Shelton, and the charity mascot Kally Kaleidosaurus popped along to the MyPolicy offices to show their support.

He added: “We rely heavily on the kind donations from our corporate supporters and the general public in order to operate a number of services, so it’s an absolute pleasure to have a leading local business such as MyPolicy on board as one of our key corporate partners this year.

“We’re very much looking forward to working closely with MyPolicy because we understand how passionate they are about their customers, staff and local community.

“The static bike ride proved to be a huge success and we can’t wait to be working with them on a whole range of exciting initiatives in the months ahead.”

The Kaleidoscope Plus Group are always keen to hear from prospective corporate partners to support the vital work the charity do in promoting mental health and wellbeing, as well as tackling the stigma attached to mental ill health, so if you’re interested please contact Greg Shelton on 0121 565 5605.
