Schoolgirl hit by car in Halesowen collision

A schoolgirl has been left with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Halesowen.

Emergency services were called to the A458 Drews Holloway, in Belle Vale, after the collision yesterday evening at around 5.20pm.

The 14-year-old girl, a pedestrian, was hit nearby to the junction of the A458 and Carpenter Glade.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said a crew in an ambulance were joined by a specialist doctor at the scene.

"They treated a girl who had suffered serious injuries," they said.

"She was treated at the scene and then taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital."

Police were called to the scene at 5.44pm and confirmed that no arrests have been made.
