The Cradley Heath Mosque is seeking planning permission to construct a new two storey building on Plant Street.

The new centre will be used to provide classes for children and hold gatherings for Muslim families conducting bereavement services and other social events.

The plans include a linked walkway between the building and the existing mosque.

Councillors have been recommended to defer any decision on the application until they can conduct a site visit.

A full report on the application and any objections to the plans will now be heard at the planning committee meeting on February 13.
