William Henry, 31, and Brian McIntosh, 29, were found dead in a Range Rover on the car park of the Albion Works industrial estate, in Brierley Hill, on September 30.

The men, both from the Bartley Green area of Birmingham, are thought to have been gunned down several hours before their bodies were found. It was the third of three shooting incidents in the Black Country in three days.

Detectives later arrested Jonathan Houseman and Richard Avery and they were both later charged in connection with the fatal shootings.

Houseman, 32, of Quarry Park Road, in Stourbridge, was arrested in Lancashire the day after the men were killed. He has been charged with two counts of murder.

While Avery, 33, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to murder and perverting the course of justice.

Both Avery, who appeared via video-link, and Houseman, who was present in court, appeared before a judge at Birmingham Crown Court today for a short case management hearing.

They were both remanded back into custody ahead of a plea hearing on Friday, November 27.

Houseman and Avery are due to stand trial at Birmingham Crown Court before a High Court judge on June 9 next year. The trial is expected to take up to four weeks.

An inquest into the deaths of Mr Henry and Mr McIntosh were opened and adjourned on October 20. The hearing was told that Mr McIntosh's cause of death was given as multiple gunshot wounds of the face and neck, while Mr Henry's cause of death was given as gunshot wounds to the head.

Mr Henry is the brother of West End Star Matt Henry MBE, who has appeared in shows including Saturday Night Fever and Kinky Boots. He also reached the final of TV talent show The Voice in 2013.
