A family are appealing for information after their Shetland Pony disappeared while grazing on land in the Black Country.

The family are searching for Dinky, who is about 15 years old, after she vanished from land opposite their home in Thorns Road, Quarry Bank, on the morning of Thursday, July 30.

Sylvia Lee, whose niece Scarlett owns Dinky, believes she may have been stolen.

Dinky has been described as a small, brown and white Shetland Pony.

Sylvia said: "My niece is heartbroken – she is a well-cared for little pony. She is brown and white. My niece has had her for nearly 13 years.

"She went missing on Thursday, July 30, at around 5.50am in land opposite the house in Thorns Road.

"She needs to be returned immediately."

She said Dinky's disappearance has been reported to the police.

Sylvia can be contacted on 07825 498856.
