Motorcyclist taken to hospital after Stourbridge Road crash

A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash with a car in Dudley.

The man, in his 20s, received treatment at the scene for multiple serious injuries in Stourbridge Road between Holly Hall and Woodside last night.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.

A young child from the car was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further checks after being assessed by ambulance staff.

Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene at around 10.20pm.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira was treated by paramedics at the scene and is assisting police with their enquires.

"The road was closed for some time and has since reopened."
