Robert Sharratt and Pat Newcombe (nee Mason) searched their attics to dig out their old school uniforms worn fifty years ago when they attended Brierley Hill Grammar.

It is hoped the photographs might jog the memory of other old students who left the sixth form there in 1967-69 and who may want to go along to a celebration buffet lunch in October.

The event is at the Old Leaking Well at Ombersley on October 12 but those interested must get in contact with organiser James Morgan first.

Already invitations have been accepted from as far afield as Australia, the Highlands of Scotland and Brighton.

Even a few members of the teaching staff have agreed to attend.

Organisers are anticipating the turn out to be between 50 and 100.

Organiser James Morgan said: “If you departed the school in Bromley Lane, Kingswinford, between the Summer of Love and the day Neil Armstrong walked on the moon get in touch.”
