Adam Greathead died at his home in Stourbridge on October 29.

He was head garden to Kingswinford-based Ashwood Nurseries owner, John Massey.

In tribute to Adam, a former student at Hagley Catholic High School, Mr Massey is naming an area after him, called Adam's Garden, behind the nursery.

It will be opened on February 10.

The garden, which Adam worked on before he died, will raise money for charity.

Adam was also chairman of Wollaston Gardeners Guild.

Mr Massey, who employed Adam three years ago, said: "We became best friends, he made me feel young again, I miss him terribly, but I know he will live on in our garden.

"The new area which we have just been planting with Cornus kousa will be known as Adam’s Garden, this has its own unique, special atmosphere and peacefulness."

Adam's funeral will take place at Our Lady and All Saints Church in Stourbridge on November 30.
