They have been battling the blaze since then with the number of crews reduced from five to three.

West Midlands Fire Service confirmed the scene was now under control and the flames would soon be extinguished.

They were unable to state the potential cause of the incident at this stage.

They confirmed police were in attendance but only as 'standard' due to the size of the fire.

Crews from Brierley Hill, Stourbridge, Dudley and Haden Cross attended.

A WMFS spokesman said: "We were called to Leys Road, Brierley Hill at 5.40pm.

"It was a fire to a large quantity of plastic pallets at the back of a factory that then spread to the property itself.

"Five crews attended which was then reduced to three.

"Police are in attendance but only as a standard procedure due to the size of the incident. It has not been determined what caused the fire at this stage."
