William Gee admitted to the facts of allegations made against him including that he made and/or accessed and/or stored one or more indecent images of children.

He also admitted that he failed to take appropriate action concerning one of more images or videos which were sent to him on or around October 28, 2022, in that he did not contact the police to disclose he had been sent images and/or videos which he had reason to believe contained content of a sexual nature in the presence of someone under the age of 16.

The 32-year-old was arrested almost a year after receiving the video from a person who he said he thought was "romantically interested in him", a Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) panel report states.

Mr Gee had been working at St Benedict's Catholic High School in Warwickshire since 2020 as head of music and went on to take on the role as assistant headteacher.

He had also worked at a school in Birmingham after becoming a qualified teacher in September of 2016.

The TRA panel heard that in October, 2022, Mr Gee began to communicate with a person labelled in the report as 'Individual A' on a chat application, before the conversation moved to WhatsApp.
