Investigation continues over shots fired at two houses in Birmingham

Police investigations are continuing after shots were fired at two properties in Birmingham.

Properties in Yardley Green Road and Churchill Road, in Bordersley Green, were shot at within 30 minutes of each other.

Nobody was hurt although damage was caused to both houses in the incident overnight on Wednesday.

Officers believe both addresses were targeted and that there is no threat to other people living in the area but they have stepped up patrols to reassure residents and have been conducting several searches.

Inspector Amir Abid, from Birmingham East Police, said: "We understand that these were alarming incidents which create fear among residents and I would urge anyone to has any information about who was responsible to contact us. I

"In the meantime, if anyone would like to speak to us about their concerns in Bordesley Green please get in touch with my team."
