Woman held by her throat in carjacking at Birmingham park

A woman was pushed to the ground and held by her throat during a terrifying carjacking incident in the West Midlands.

The carjacking incident is reported to have taken place in Highbury Park, just off Shutlock Lane in Moseley, Birmingham, at around 4.15pm on Monday, June 22.

The woman was returning to her black Land Rover Discovery Sport when she was approached by two Asian men.

One of the men pushed her to the ground and grabbed her by the throat, demanding her car keys before fleeing in the car.

The woman was not seriously injured by was left shaken by the incident.

West Midlands Police officers have launched an investigation and have released CCTV footage of men they would like to speak to in connection with the carjacking.
