Snow falls across the Black Country and Staffordshire as weather warning remains
A weather warning was in place across the West Midlands this morning as snow fell across the region.
The yellow warning of ice remained in place today as gritters were out in force across the Black Country and Staffordshire overnight.
Forecasters have warned further hail, sleet and snow showers are likely across the region
But later this afternoon it is expected to be dry and cold, with increasing amounts of sunshine through the day – with a maximum temperature of 5 °C.
The severe ice warning finished at 11am but a fresh alert has been issued - again covering all of the Black Country and Staffordshire - from 6pm this evening until 11am on Thursday.
