Man killed after car hits a wall in Birmingham
A man has died after his car hit a wall in Birmingham.
Emergency services were called to All Saints Street, in Winson Green, just before 7.30pm on Friday night to reports of a Mercedes car hitting a wall.
The driver of the car, a 26-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 25-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police closed the road for a number of hours while the scene was made safe.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from West Midland Police's serious collision investigation unit, said: "A man has sadly lost his life and our thoughts are with his family as we have specialist officers supporting them at this difficult time.
"This collision has also left another man with serious injuries and we continue to offer help to his family.
"We are determined to establish what has happened and I would ask for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything to get in touch as soon as possible."
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call officers on 101, quoting incident log number 2479 of June 29.
