The star stopped at Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough stadium, in Wyre Forest, before setting off for Shrewsbury Town in Shropshire.

He is walking 15 marathons in 15 days to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

His visit to the Midlands marked the fourth day of the challenge. Ahead of the walk, Mr Stelling said: “This is day four out of 15 of the challenge.

“We have so far done 81 miles and we have only got 319 miles to go. We are sort of on the home straight really. Today, this walk in terms of distance is 26.3 miles.

“That is slightly easier than the previous three we have done. They have all been over 27 miles. It doesn’t sound like much but actually when you are walking it, it is a lot.”

The Soccer Saturday presenter will be travelling between Exeter City to Newcastle United as part of the challenge, which will total 400 miles.

This year’s event is an upgrade on last year’s March for Men, which saw the star walking for the same cause, visiting Molineux in Wolverhampton, St Andrews, Birmingham, Banks’s Stadium, in Walsall, The Hawthorns, in West Bromwich, and Villa Park in Birmingham.

The presenter said the response to his first effort inspired him to go even further this year.

“Prostate cancer is an illness that affects men,” he said. “It affects wives, daughters and families. It affects men at football grounds like this (Aggborough) that is still predominantly populated by men.

“As we do our our walk, it will take 11 hours and in that time 11 men will die from prostate cancer. It is scary. If we can get the message out and get people to get themselves checked out, it is all worth while.” In 2016 Stelling raised more than £420,000.
