Lockdown fines for three men from separate households watching rugby

Three men were fined under Covid-19 rules after police caught them watching rugby together – despite being from separate households.

The three men were spotted by Staffordshire Police in Shareshill, in South Staffordshire.

They were all mixing from separate households in breach of Covid-19 regulations watching the rugby.

All three were issued with £200 Fixed Penalty Notices.

In a Twitter post, South Staffordshire Police said: "Three males issued Covid19 £200 Fixed Penalty Notices in Shareshill as all were mixing from separate households in breach of the rules watching the rugby.

"We are still in national lockdown please follow the latest Government advice #covid19 #stayathome."
