Students and teachers across the region are having to self-isolate after Covid-19 cases were confirmed at their schools or colleges.

After being closed since March, schools reopened to all year groups in the first week of September but some have already had to temporarily shut down or send year groups home to self-isolate after pupils or staff members tested positive

Meanwhile some teachers and parents have complained that children are having to miss classes due to a lack of available testing.

While officially part of South Staffordshire, Codsall schools have been included under Wolverhampton for this list.

Wolverhampton

Elston Hall Primary School, Wolverhampton

All children in Year 1 have been sent home after a pupil in Year 1 at Elston Hall Primary School in Fordhouses has tested positive for coronavirus. Read more here.

Palmers Cross Primary School, Wolverhampton

Staff and pupils in Year 2 are self-isolating after a positive coronavirus case.

Wolverhampton Girls' High School

A second case of coronavirus has been identified within Year 12 at the school.

Springdale Primary School, Penn Fields

Pupils in Year 6 have been asked to self-isolate after a pupil tested positive for coronavirus.

Year 3 have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days after a pupil tested positive for coronavirus.

Woden Primary School, Park Village

Thirty pupils in Year 6 were told to self-isolate after a student tested positive for coronavirus on September 8.

Codsall Community High School, Codsall

Codsall Community High School confirmed a case within the school on September 9. The school remains open with year "bubbles" intact but said this would remain under review. The school is linked to Bilbrook Middle School, which has also had a confirmed case (see below).

Highfields School, Merry Hill

All Year 11 students at Highfields School in Merry Hill, Wolverhampton, were told to self-isolate for 14 days after a student was confirmed to have tested positive on September 9.

Bilbrook CE Middle School, Codsall

Year 8 pupils at Bilbrook Middle School in Codsall have been told to self-isolate after a case was confirmed on September 8.

Although the school remains open, Year 8 students were told to stay at home until September 17.

Amethyst Sixth, Aldersley High School, Codsall

Amethyst Sixth closed to its 250 students after a teacher tested positive for coronavirus.

Other staff members were awaiting results after the teacher's positive case was confirmed on September 7.

Aldersley High School confirmed there has been three cases, one in Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12.

East Park Academy, East Park

Primary school East Park Academy has sent home two different year groups after two students tested positive for coronavirus.

The school told 90 pupils in Year 3 to self-isolate for two weeks on September 7 and 90 pupils in Year 6 to self-isolate on September 9.

Royal Primary School, Penn Road

A staff member at the Royal School's primary school tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend of September 5 and 6.

As a result 90 pupils and all Year 1 staff were told to self-isolate for 14 days.

Ormiston SWB Academy, Bilston

Two members of staff at Ormiston SWB Academy are self-isolating as a precaution after another tested positive for coronavirus.

The staff member did not contract the virus at the school, they said, and had not been in direct contact with students.

Codsall Middle School

A Year 7 pupil at Codsall Middle School has tested positive for coronavirus.

Codsall Middle School sent a letter to parents on Tuesday saying a pupil has tested positive for Covid-19.

Fallings Park Primary School sent a letter to parents on September 17 which says there has been a confirmed case of Covid-19. Read more here.

Villiers Primary School, Bilston

About 80 pupils have been told to self-isolate after a child tested positive for coronavirus.

The school said a small number of pupils in "direct prolonged contact" with the confirmed case will have to self-isolate for 14 days.

Year 4 pupils have been asked to self-isolate after a positive coronavirus case.

Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School

Corpus Christi Catholic Primary Academy, in Wolverhampton, sent a letter to parents on September 23 saying there has been a single connected confirmed case of Covid-19 within Reception and Year 3.

Moreton School

Moreton School posted on its Facebook page saying the "small number" of children who have been in direct prolonged contact with the staff member who tested positive for coronavirus will be staying at home for 14 days.

St Anthony's Catholic Primary School

Two cases of coronavirus have been confirmed at a primary school in Wolverhampton.

St Anthony's Catholic Primary School has been notified of two positive Covid cases and some of the pupils have had to self-isolate.

Sandwell

Summerhill Primary Academy, Tipton

Children were sent home to self-isolate after a confirmed case of coronavirus at Summerhill Primary Academy was announced on September 16.

And a staff member tested positive for coronavirus in Year 5, a letter to parents said on September 22.

Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School, Wednesbury

Students at a Wednesbury school have been instructed to self-isolate at home for two weeks – after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.

Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School in Wednesbury sent a letter out to a number of parents and carers on September 14 after it was confirmed a teacher had a confirmed case of Covid-19.

A positive case was confirmed at Moat Farm Junior School on September 10, with 30 students self-isolating as a result.

A positive case was confirmed at Ocker Hill Academy on September 9, with all year four pupils and teachers self-isolating as a result.

Foxyards Primary School, Tipton

Two year groups and a teacher at Foxyards Primary School will have to self-isolate for 14 days from September 10 after a pupil tested positive for coronavirus.

Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School, Wednesbury

A Covid-19 case was confirmed within the Year 9 bubble at Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School in Wednesbury in a letter on September 9.

Crocketts Primary School, Smethwick

Crocketts Primary School, in Smethwick, closed to students in Years 1 to 6 on September 7 and 8 after a staff member showed symptoms. However the school was back open on September 9 after the test result came back as negative.

Wodensborough Ormiston Academy

Secondary school Wodensborough Ormiston Academy confirmed a student had tested positive in a letter sent out on September 7.

The school stayed open but 27 students and one staff member were told to self-isolate for 14 days.

The Phoenix Collegiate, West Bromwich

A Year 11 pupil has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Phoenix Collegiate sent a letter to parents on September 17 which says the pupil has not been in school since they developed symptoms.

It also says 20 students and one staff member have been sent home to self-isolate.

Rowley Hall Primary School has sent home a number of children who have been in "direct prolonged contact" with the confirmed case in Year 4

Q3 Academy Tipton sent a letter to parents on September 21 confirming the positive case.

A pupil in Year 2 at Joseph Turner Primary School, and their parents, have tested positive for Covid-19, so as a precaution the bubbles that the child's siblings are in, Reception and Year 3, are also being sent home.

Ridgewood High School, Stourbridge

Students have been sent home from a Stourbridge school after a pupil tested positive for coronavirus.

Two cases of coronavirus have been confirmed at Dudley College.

A staff member and a student have both tested positive for Covid-19 – a message from the college confirmed on September 14.

The Wordsley School, Wordsley

A positive case was confirmed at The Wordsley School in Wordsley, Stourbridge, on September 8.

The secondary school has stayed open and the age of the person who tested positive has not been confirmed by Dudley Council.

Red Hall Primary School, in Lower Gornal, sent a letter to parents on Monday confirming the positive coronavirus case.

The Link Academy, Netherton

The Link Academy in Netherton said on September 9 that a Year 11 pupil has Covid-19.

A case of coronavirus has been confirmed at Halesowen College.

The college posted on its website on September 17 saying there has been a confirmed case and they have informed staff and students who have been in close contact who will need to self-isolate.

Dudley Council has confirmed Dormston School has a positive Covid-19 case.

Ellowes Hall Sports College

Ellowes Hall Sports College has sent a letter to parents saying the case of coronavirus was in Invictus Sixth Form Year 13.

Summerhill School, Kingswinford

Summerhill School announced the positive case on September 28 and said all Year 9 students will have to self-isolate until October 12.

Grace Academy Darlaston

A case was confirmed at Grace Academy in Darlaston in a letter to parents on September 7.

The case was among a student in Year 7 with some students being told to self-isolate as a result.

Aldridge School sent a letter to parents on September 10 saying a Year 7 pupil had tested positive for Covid-19, but has not been in school this week.

Walsall College

Two staff members at Walsall College have tested positive for coronavirus.

Students and staff identified as being in the "close contact group" with the two workers have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days.

Willenhall E-ACT Academy

Students have been asked to self-isolate after a positive case of coronavirus.

Willenhall E-ACT Academy said a student in Year 8 has tested positive for Covid-19.

A member of staff and a pupil at the school have both tested positive for coronavirus.

Reedswood E-ACT Primary Academy has sent out letters about the cases and has advised anyone who has been in contact with the pupil in year 3HF or the member of the staff who is in the nursery bubble to self-isolate. Read more here.

A number of students have been told to self-isolate after a positive case of coronavirus.

Blue Coat Church of England Academy sent a letter to parents on September 18 about the case in Year 9.

Staffordshire

JCB Academy, Rocester

The JCB Academy in Rocester confirmed a positive case after being one of the first schools in England to reopen in August.

It was closed on Friday September 4 as a precaution but reopened the following on Monday with around 100 students self-isolating.

The JCB Academy was the first school of its kind in the UK for the education of 13 to 19-year-olds with a core focus on engineering.

A pupil in Year 7 has tested positive for coronavirus.

Kingsmead School in Cannock sent a letter to parents on Monday confirming a pupil has tested positive.

The whole year group has been asked to self-isolate until September 25 and return to school on September 28.

Burlish Park Primary School, Stourport-on-Severn

Pupils in two reception classes at Burlish Park Primary School, in Stourport-on-Severn, have been told to self-isolate after a positive case of coronavirus.
