Conor Coady's message to fans

With the number of cases of Covid-19 increasing in Wolverhampton, players Conor Coady and Pedro Neto have given their support to the city council's call to supporters to help protect their friends and family.

They released videos telling fans: "Remember that coronavirus hasn't gone away. We are all on the same team. We need you to be smart, play your part and protect your family and friends."

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, cabinet member for public health and wellbeing, said cases had jumped, along with local and national measures being introduced to prevent transmission.

She said: "We’re calling on Wolves fans to help us by doing everything they can to stop the spread of Covid-19.

"We’ve missed out on so much this year and I understand that everyone is desperate for a return to normality, but it's important that we all remain vigilant.

"This is not just to keep ourselves safe, but to protect our family, friends and others."
