Katharine House Hospice, which looks after people with progressive illnesses in the county, is facing an “uncertain future” due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has launched an emergency appeal to raise £1 million by January after it revealed four charity shops would close and 20 jobs would be cut.

The move comes after the hospice was badly hit by the financial impact of Coronavirus – with fundraisers cancelled, and the hospice needs to continue providing care.

Now it has called on people to donate to ensure it can continue to offer care to those in need.
