Barbara Guest, of Wem Gardens, passed away at Cedar Grange Care Home, Wolverhampton.

Her primary case of death was heart failure but contributing factors were Covid-19 and vascular dementia, Black Country Coroner's Court was told.

She was a retired seamstress and a widow who was born in West Bromwich.

She had been suffering from heart failure and on February 22 she was admitted to A&E with chest pains.

Her condition declined and on April 18 she tested positive for Covid-19.

She was approaching end-of-life care home and was discharged to the care home, where she died on May 9.

Area coroner for the Black Country, Joanne Lees, recorded her death as resulting from natural causes.

She said: "I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Barbara Guest."
