Black Country and Staffordshire Claps For Our Carers

People across the Black Country and Staffordshire turned out once again to show their thanks for NHS staff and carers amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Paramedics spotted a double rainbow while driving in the West Midlands, and stopped to take a snap.

West Midlands Ambulance Service tweeted saying: "Safe to say rainbows mean just that little bit more to us at the moments, so when Hannah and crew mate spotted a double rainbow on their way back to Craven Arms, unsurprisingly it put a big smile on their faces!"

And officers, paramedics and members of the public clapped for key workers outside Bradley Resource Centre in Wolverhampton which helps people when they leave hospital.

Wolverhampton Council tweeted saying: "Great to see our friends from West Midlands Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service joining in the Clap For Our Key Workers outside Bradley Resource Centre that cares for people when they leave hospital."

Dozens of people stood oust

Wednesfield Police tweeted saying: "Despite the downpour at 8pm, still a good turnout at New Cross Hospital."

Police officers joined a resident dressed as Elvis singing happy birthday to NHS fundraiser Captain Tom Moore in Willenhall.

Willenhall WMP tweeted saying: "Good evening Willenhall. Whilst on patrol our officers joined residents in Gipsy Lane for Clap For Key Workers.

"We also assisted Elvis by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Captain Tom Moore."

Police officers and residents joined in to applause outside Smethwick Police Station.

Smethwick Police tweeted saying: "Great community feeling tonight outside Smethwick Police Station in Piddock Road joining in together to clap with residents."

Workers stood outside NPT Cannock at 8pm showing their support for NHS workers and carers.

Cannock Police tweeted saying: "NPT Cannock clapping for NHS staff and healthcare and keyworkers at 8pm."

Police officers joined residents in one Perry Barr road to clap for NHS staff and carers.

Perry Barr Police tweeted saying: "In Tideswell Road this week with a great turn out for Clap For The NHS and welcoming our newest member to the team PCSO Dugmore.

"Stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives!"

And Highways England workers in the West Midlands thanked the NHS by spelling out NHS in traffic cones.
