Councillors surgeries in Dudley have been suspended in Dudley to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dudley Council House

It comes after Dudley Council moved in line with Government orders on social distancing.

But the move will still see councillors be available to residents over the phone.

Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of the council, said: "Elected members are still working hard to support their local residents in these troubled and unprecedented times.

"We are following all Government advice very closely, and as such it is the right thing to suspend planned advice surgeries.

"Further information will be issued on when these may be resumed as and when we can."
