Shaz Saleem, who runs Beacon Taxis and Express Taxis Halesowen, raised £220 after amassing 100.34 miles on the treadmill at Anytime Fitness Gym based in Halesowen.

Mr Saleem, who is a regular fundraiser for charity, completed the challenge over 30 days on behalf of Alzheimer's Society. He also runs his own charitable cause called The Saleem Foundation.

Mr Saleem said: "This year has been a very challenging year but if anything this year has made us appreciate our surroundings more.

"The work that Alzheimer’s Society do is amazing and it’s important we support them as much as we can.

"On behalf of The Saleem Foundation, I set myself the challenge of running 100 miles in 30 days.

"After the first five miles, I thought I bit more than I can chew. But I kept at it and slowly I built the miles and finally reached the 100 miles on the thirtieth day.

"I am very pleased I was able to reach this more importantly pleased to have raised over £200 which will contribute in helping so many people suffering with Dementia around the UK,"
