Free parking at New Cross and Cannock Chase Hospitals this Christmas

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs the hospitals, is waiving parking fees from midnight on Christmas Eve until midnight on Boxing Day, and again on New Year's Day.

Normal parking charges at New Cross Hospital range from £2.50 an hour to £9.50 for 24 hours, while at Cannock Chase Hospital charges range from 80p an hour for 30 minutes to £7 for 24 hours.

In the 2018/19 financial year The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust received £2.6 million from parking charges.

Richard Jones, deputy head of security and car parking, said: “We are giving all visitors to New Cross and Cannock Chase Hospital free car parking access during the Christmas holidays.

“It is our small way of giving something back to the public using our services over Christmas.”
